Delete Unwanted Recorded Data

First off, this is a great system, however....

Who has not forgotten to clear there watch, or mis-pressed the stop button? Now I have a race which include the awards ceremony and 2 hour ride home.

How do I drop that unwanted data?

You can edit the xml data f the file. Not that difficult once you know what to look for. Alternately, you could post your file here and someone could take a look at it.

I would like to be able to remove some data.

Yes, I have included the drive home in some of my mountain biking files. Great for the average speed!

Great enhancement request with an addition!

I'm in total agreement. I don't know how many times I've started a run only to run into my chatty neighbors 50 ft into my workout and forget to reset my watch. Or often times I start with a lighter jog or ride before beginning my real work out in which I'm really curious about the data.

I still like to review all of the data, as far as work out time, calories,etc. However it would be great to narrow the data set and the associated average data by specifying a start and stop section of my workout.

Yahoo Finance does an excellent job with user interface and a similar kind of dynamic capability, with a drag a bar, to define sections of historical stock data to view. I haven't seen this in any other GPS fitness programs and it seem like a no-brainer.

On Garmin Connect Web you have the option to trim the activity.

Not an option 12 years ago when this thread was started.

Thanks. I use Garmin Explore for my Garmin mini and not Garmin Connect but I bet there’s a way to import/export my track to/from Connect?

Suggest waiting for an answer to your other post - Can I delete unwanted tracking points from a track and then save the edited track?
