I don't know why anyone would try to bring a raw TCX into Excel, Excel can read any ASCII format, that doesn't mean that it should be used to do this.
The data needs to be in x, y, z1, z2, z3, z4..... format. TCX Converter does exactly this, and allows you to save to *.csv. Try it and see, I think it will allow you to get over most of your problems. I like the fact that I can control the axis scale of any charts I produce. When I go for a run, the initial rise of my heart rate from 60 to 130 + bpm is not interesting. The variations around150 are.
Cheers

feature request is noted :-) thanks for the input and we'll get to it when we can.

Motion Based offered an export function that made it possible to export running totals (duration, average speed, average heartbeat, average pace etc.) of multiple activities to MS Excel. Garmin Connect seems to lack this option, which would be very dissapointing since I used to export these data to MS Excel for further analyses and graphs. Am I right that there is no such export function anymore? Or do I fail to see it?
