Map Update Compability check error

Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right subforum, anyway: I subscribed to NuLifetime and wanted to update the maps of my Nuvi770. When I try to download the maps I get an error with something saying "compability check" and bean.....anyone knows why I am getting this:

Checking compatibility...

    I am using Vista 64bit, with IE 32bit, so I dont think it has something to do with the operating system...

    I am having the same problem with a MAC running 10.5.8 and the same version of Firefox. Tried Safari and Explorer with the same result.

    How long do you have this problems? Did you just purchased the Update? I hope I will get a refund if I can't get it to work...

    Update error

    i get the same
    bean com.garmin.mygarmin,.,,,, error using two different windows machines.

    tech support told me it is .a KNOWN PROBLEM and will be FIXED BY LAST NIGHT...

    obviously not.

    Map update Compatibity error

    I have the same issue... using XP SP2.. on both firefox and IE I get the same compatibility error... this is very annoying. Hope we get a fix soon.

    Tech support told me that they expect to fix this within the next 3 days.

    Got this today but wont be able to try mine until later. can someone let me know if theirs works? seems like conflicting info with others being told a 3 day fix.

    You might try running the update today. If it does not work, I would highly recommend contacting us at 800-800-1020, and speaking with an Automotive Agent, as it should be working fine by this point. If you are still having troubles it may be something else on the computer not allowing you to download.

    I just tried it again. No luck. I still have the same error. Did anyone see this reported fix work for them?

    MAP loading error

    Same problem with my NUVI 670. Problem unknown at Garmin Norway support.

    it almost works this morning. i can get much further but when i go to download the actual file, it wont start the download and simply errors out.
