If I run with another Garmin Connect user I should be able to tag them as a participant and have the activity automatically add to this user name (once they accept).
  • Exactly, Why I need export, import?

It can works like that: share distance & time with friend, which run with me. In general it is enough.

Connecting data with calories burning it can be calculate based on connect.garmin personal data.

Ok. Garmin community is not FB, but really, Possibility to tag friends in comments without sharing activities (I mean sharing with copying my activity to activity friends). It doesn't build community!

You can share an activity. Either to your Contacts, to the Groups that you are member of, or to Everyone - it depends how you have set up the privacy (either individually on a specific activity, or globally). They can then see the activity, and view all details.

  • Ok. I express not clearly.

You talk about some chats. comments, function.

I would like to add friend to my activity and show that we run together, while My friend receives this activity in his profile.

Why should he receive your activity? If he has a Garmin Connect account, he has a Garmin device, so he should be using his own device to record the activity. No need to share yours. But, if for some reason, he exceptionally could not use his device, he can always import your shared activity as a GPX file.

  • Why import-export? Why so complicated?

why it couldn't be easier - by one click?

  • Why import-export? Why so complicated?

Because normally it is not needed, and the implementation of such feature in Garmin Connect is unlikely So I am offering you a solution for the exceptional case, where for example someone has a discharged watch and could not record the activity himself. For such exceptional case, the importing is a sufficient option.
