Deleted Workout is still showing up in "Today's Activity" on Web and Android Garmin Connect

I previously had this "Quick Shoulder Relaxer 10m" workout created on my Workouts list, but I've deleted the workout a few weeks back, and also removed it from my calendar. However, it still shows up in Today's Activity!

This workout no longer exists, so I get why there's an error when I click on the block in Today's Activity section on the home page. But, I can't find a way to remove it from my home page.

Everyday, I have this same workout appearing under Today's Activity, and according to Google this is the only section of my home page that I cannot hide or dismiss. For more info, this workout doesn't show up on my watch calendar, the issue is only with Garmin Connect (both Web and Android).

I've tried:

- Removing the "Quick Shoulder Relaxer 10m" workout from my watch and resyncing
- Removing ALL workouts from my calendar
- Uninstalling/reinstalling Garmin Connect
- Restarting both Garmin Connect and my watch

Here is a video of it happening:

  • Hi, same issue here. Used to sync data from Runna and Coopah. Even if I unlink the apps and delete the workouts from the calendar they keep showing up in the Today’s Activity

  • I got two responses, which you'll find interesting. Runna displaying honesty, and Garmin, simply ignoring their customers.

    Runna:

Hey Tom, Thank you so much for your patience here, we really appreciate it! I just wanted to let you know that our tech team have been in communication with Garmin who said this was an issue on their part which was affecting a number of other third party apps. We have just heard back from our Garmin contact now that this should now be fixed! They have also informed us that if you are still having this issue, that the best next step would be to contact Garmin support. I am sorry again for the time this has taken, but please let me know if there is anything else I can help with Pray Thank you,
    Evie

    Garmin:

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. For this, I would recommend first trying some initial steps:

    • If the HR and HRV data is showing on the watch, I would recommend trying the syncing using Garmin Express. For this we recommend using a USB cable.
    • If this is syncing using Express, I would recommend pairing again from scratch with these steps:
    1. Ensure the phone OS is on the latest version
    2. Uninstall the Connect Mobile app
    3. Clear the phone cache and history
    4. Ensure the watch does not appear in the phone's Bluetooth menu. If it is, please remove the device
    5. Powercycle the watch and phone. To do this, hold the Light button until this shuts off. Then power on again
    6. Reinstall the Connect Mobile app
    7. Try the pairing again ( Be sure there are no other Bluetooth enabled device nearby)

If there is no change, I would like to help you investigate this further. For this, please reach out to me via Private

  • Thanks for sharing, and indeed it seems to be fixed by now. Finally, the app is usable again without scrolling through tons of ghost workouts.

  • thanks, still showing in my app

  • I am still having this issue. 3rd party is Training Peaks.

  • Me too, imagine the Garmin staff all have been off since Wednesday, stuffing their faces with Turkey! Although isn't that cannibalism?
