Buddy List/Search other users

I noticed if I type in my own login name, japril25, into the keyword box under the explore tab, none of my runs show up. I can't find a way to look up other user's names I know in real life to see their runs too.

Any way we can have a "look up user name" search box, and have a list of their runs show up when entered?

Or maybe incorporate a "buddies list", where you can add your friends' login names to the list, and click on them for an instant list of all their runs?

I'd like an easier way to look up/share runs with friends. Thanks!

Many people I know use Nike+ to buddy up and motivate/challenge eachother. To me this feature is a no brainer.

I know it's an old thread, but the sticky says to use existing ones and I want to add my support, so...

I've always found it frustrating that there are only two options as far a sharing data: public or private, share or don't share.

I don't want (some of) my data to be viewable by all and sundry. But at the same time, I'd like it to be accessible by my friends.

Can we have a third option, to be used in conjunction with a friends list? An option allowing me to share data with just those users I want, i.e. my friends.

PS I don't use Facebook. So implementing the above via some form of FB plugin might be nice for others, but it would have to be in addition to a GC feature. :)
