Buddy List/Search other users

I noticed if I type in my own login name, japril25, into the keyword box under the explore tab, none of my runs show up. I can't find a way to look up other user's names I know in real life to see their runs too.

Any way we can have a "look up user name" search box, and have a list of their runs show up when entered?

Or maybe incorporate a "buddies list", where you can add your friends' login names to the list, and click on them for an instant list of all their runs?

I'd like an easier way to look up/share runs with friends. Thanks!

    Click "show filters." Enter the name in the username text box. Click search. Also, you have to make your activities public in order for them to be searchable.

    Ah ha thank you:)

    Would still be cool to have a quick buddies list later though if they customize the dashboard more...if I have 8 friends in there, would like to just click them open one by one real quick....

    Save users as friends, so you could check back for updates on their routes. Possibly have the ability to contact them (they would have the ability to make this public or private). You could then challenge them with a route etc. or meet for a real ride.

    Friends list

    Not sure how many would use this.

    There are 8 other people that have a Garmin Edge or Forerunner that I routinely ride and run with (4 of which I goaded and set up the orders so they bought one). I was wondering if there could be a way to keep a friends or user list in the dashboard.
    I keep their user names but it would be nice to see what they are up to or even a link to their dashboard.

    Too much to ask for a way to leave comments to approved friends. I taunt in SMS it would be nice to do it on here.

    Couldn't agree more.

    On Motion Based it was easy to set up a filter to quickly display only the users I was interested in. It was great. My friends and I could quickly see how each other was doing. Right now it is just a hassle with GC.

    I am hoping this is an upcoming feature. I really miss Motion Based.:o

    Another vote for this feature, I need to keep an eye on my training buddies so I can whoop them! How about something that combines goals with friends...competition and all that!

    A friends list would be great. I'd love to leave notes on friend's activities, and lock down a ride so only my friends can see it. (Facebook Connect is a perfect fit for something like this, as Facebook takes care of all the friending, unfriending, and privacy, etc.) I'm not affiliated with Facebook, it just came to mind as I was thinking about how much work it would be to implement this feature.

    There was a MB set up in Facebook. Might be when the GC stabilizes that the guy will rewrite the program.
