Motionbased

How about we get all the features back that we had on Motionbased. Let's start there and then add new features. I still have no weather. Difficult to see elevation vs. heart rate. Google Earth, seems like i am using an alpha program.

I agree with all of you. I would like the following items added to garmin connect after we get the motionbased features back. I love reading people/garmin saying it is on the way/hold tight and it is a lot of work to design it. We are at the second year of waiting. When are they going to be done migrating the large events? The point is that that the large events and the motionbased features are not on garmin connect. Secondly, when are they upgrading the 305. I like seeing the map on the 305 and the 405 does not have it. I would gladly upgrade to a lighter, sleeker version that does not look like a laptop on my wrist.

    1. I want to be able to track and tell me how many miles I have run with my current shoes and see how many miles I have run with old shoes.

    2. I also want to be able to see up to 500 events on one screen. Seeing 20 events is super annoying. Do the people who design this actually use garmin connect?

    3. The front page (dashboard) needs to be adjustable. I want to remove the active goals field and current happenings. I don't care about garmin news. To much dead space. Need more detail.

I assume you've seen the 310XT. There are a handful of people on this forum (myself included) that have upgraded to the 310XT. Check out the 310XT section for my review and several others. I held off on the 405 for exactly the reason you stated. The 310XT is a little lighter, a little sleeker and it has the same mapping function as the 305. Not sure how small you'd like it. But if it gets too small then you lose the ability to view a reasonable size map.

As for the rest of your points - right on!

SEILOGRAMP- I agree with you, I like the big screen. I don't want the small 405. I just want it to look a little sleeker, lighter, to be waterproof and to not have the lap and start/stop buttons get injured easily (either by sticky gel or wear). I think a tech upgrade on it is in order. I heard the XT is a nice watch but does not have the map feature. Does it have the map feature and I missed it?

It most definitely has the map feature. Couldn't live without it.:D

I have locked this thread. Nothing wrong with what's being posted here, but it'll be easier to see what features have been requested (and add your voice to that thread) if we keep each feature request to its own thread.

Please see the sticky post in this section on how to help keep the Feature Request forum clean and manageable.

Please feel free to repost each idea in its own thread.

    Thanks,
    April
