Where is the retire option for devices ?

The option to retire devices has disappeared and I really like to see the long list of Garmin devices that I have owned.

Is it a glitch or is it a definitive change?

I am still able to find the option explained in the support website.

I used to Retire (not Remove) my old devices in GC Web too, but when I saw the option gone, I just disconnected the watch from the GC app. The old watch was removed from list of Devices there, but it remains…

That only gives the "remove" option. There used to be a "retire" option. Meaning your old devices staying visible but not active anymore.

Another question that can be asked: if the retire option had never existed, would anyone be requesting it today?

I think the answer is no. What would the thought process be? "I stopped using my device and unpaired from the Connect app, and that worked fine for years, but now I also want to see a little label beside the device on the website which says 'retired'" No, I don't think so.

And to me, that's what distinguishes the retire option from other requested features which have been removed from Connect (or never existed in the first place).

Notably, I've never seen anyone who only uses the Connect app request the ability to retire a device, which would be a totally new feature to them.
