I synced my Venu 3s bang on midnight Tuesday into weds but no data transfer occurred into garmin connect. The data can be seen on my watch still but won’t sync. Connect thinks I made no steps on Tuesday - ‘insufficient data’.

Is it the walking activity that isn't syncing or everything, as in no daily HR, steps, etc.?

If it's the activity, then it could be corrupt. Try a manual upload from your Garmin device to Garmin Connect Web - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file. Attach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

• Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
• Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

i have followed the instructions. The date of the missing data is 25th June. My walk is uploaded onto connect but nothing else. 
the .fit files available close to that date are for the 22nd June and 28th June. Which one should I upload? Having said this, the activity - ie the walk IS uploaded. It’s my heart rate, steps etc etc that hasn’t uploaded.

I recommend to Remove and Add a Device From the Garmin Connect App | Garmin Customer Support, then log a few minutes of steps and HR, and record a test activity, wait till the next morning, sync, and see whether it helped. If not, then have a look at the Troubleshooting guide for (some) data missing after syncing for more tips.
