REVERSION TO PRIOR GARMIN CONNECT HOME PAGE

Dear Garmin CEO and Connect Team:

The only reason Garmin exists and you have a job is to serve your customers by providing us with the products and services we want. The response to the rollout of your new Connect Home Page clearly suggests that your customer base is very unhappy with the layout. It reminds me of the introduction of Coca Cola's New Coke, a product nobody asked for.

At a minimum you should enable us to revert to the prior layout and possible eliminate the new layout. The new side-by-side layout and need to click See All to see my data, truely adds nothing.

Please reply to your customers if you will revert to the prior layout, so that we, in turn, can decide if we need to switch to one of your competitors' platforms.

Thank you in advance for your immediate attention and response.

  • Absolutely horrendous and impractical. Also with bugs in editing At a Glance.

  • I echo most of the sentiment here.  I liked the old garmin connect home page much better.  I pretty much don't care anything that I can put on the new one like body battery, heart rate, stress, sleep, weight, etc, etc.  I liked being able to track my gear (how many miles I have on my running shoes and my goals, miles per month, strength training workouts, personal records.  I used garmin connect everyday with the old home page.  Now I think I won't because he tell me anything I want to know about.

  • just synced my Forerunner for this week's runs and saw the mess called Connect home page. Why can't I put the things I had in previous dashboards in the homepage? Now if I need to see badges, gear, newsfeed, calendar I need to click on each tab on the left instead of looking in the homepage. This is ridiculously badly implemented, please bring the old version back, I don't care about body battery or steps or stress or sleep or all those meaningless stats I never used before. My home page is currently empty, it only has my V0Max count and that's it.

  • I curated a Home screen that fit my needs.  Now you have gone and screwed it up.  Bring back the screen from last week.  The new home screen is useless for me now and will cost me precious time that would much better be used training, not trying to find the stats that were on my Home Screen last week.  Or at a minimum, allow users the choice to go with the new Home screen or retain their previous one.

  • Please, please, please bring back the old app. The new app forces me to put on readers because of its double tile setup. VERY inconvenient because I don’t carry readers all day long. Obviously designed by young people who don’t value their long term and/or older customers. It’s kind of age discrimination. Just let me revert to the old homepage

  • Please allow me to return to the old home page.  The customization capabilities were awesome, and the new dashboard doesn't show me what I would like to see.

  • Dumbest thing ever. I have a fitness watch... what do i want to do... I want to set goals, and then track them. Garmin, "Na, we're going to leave that out."

can anyone tell me one thing that is better with the new format that you could not do with the old options? Like one thing that is better???

  • You nailed it. Was not great, but serviceable... I know, let's make it really really suck!!!

  • I agree listen to your unhappy customer base and return to previous app
