  • 315 people responded here. 250 million devices sold. How many people do you suppose are perfectly happy ? How representative do you suppose the whiners are here ?

  • Yea to the math, get the data how many are active here and extrapolate this to all customer's. 300 participants is a good amount, the figures should be representative.

  • Interestingly I am getting emails with notifications and post/comments content But no notification when I check the lightening icon  and when I actually look for the new comment they are now missing....  This started after the trollin by the person calling everyone whiners

  • And now Garmin is deleting negative comments that they don’t like. Garmin won’t respond to all of our issues and requests to go back to the old platform but they will delete messages. Just great

  • Yep I have had several removed without warning... Garmin are worried that the negative feed back will finally have and impact or more likely are trying to stop it have any further impact..... If they actually gave a damn and wanted to get us back on board and show everyone they listen they'd have no need to delete comments.. And to be clear I have seen the same happening in other forums relating too garmin too... The app and web interfaces is hated everywhere by the vast majority  and they'd rather spend time deleting and having comments deleted than fixing the issues. Deleting stuff and not fixing the issues is costing them dearly...

  • I just received this information in an e-mail from Garmin:

"Dear zyziu: Your forum reply, RE: Poll: How would you rate the new web interface?, in Garmin Connect Web was flagged by other users as inappropriate and doesn't appear on the site right now. Reason: The forum reply was identified as abusive by community members. Please help us keep the community content safe and enjoyable for everyone... bla, bla, bla"

These mentally unstable beings even deleted my comment to you about installing an older version of GC because it was "abusive". Embarrassing. This statement will probably be too according to them, it is "abusive" and will be deleted sooner or later.

Moderator:  I looked up your post that was reported as abusive. To be clear, the post was reported as abusive specifically due to name calling. As is this post as well. Another post was automatically flagged due to an external apk mirror link, which I just now approved. Just keep it civil so we can continue a transparent discussion. Thanks!

  • I have a better idea moderator person; get Garmin to acknowledge this fubar and all of your unhappy customers. Give us back the prior platform. It’s not rocket science.

Moderator: , I am a volunteer and do not work for Garmin. I do not have any more influence on Garmin than you do.

  • Dear Moderator   you state this "

Moderator: Please everyone let's try to keep the discussion civil. Expressing our dissatisfaction with Garmin is welcome, but name calling, and insults will not be tolerated. Those posts will be removed. Eventually the thread will be locked if it cannot be controlled."

    yet you allowed this

Please deal with the matter in hand as this person is clear trolling and name calling.

Moderator: , thank you for calling this to my attention. Please use the "report as abusive" option and I will take a look.

  • In response to users' objections regarding the new broken interface, Garmin repeats like a broken record: "It is not possible to return to the old version of the home page." But somehow in version 4.77 there was no problem with switching the interface to the new beta version and back to the old version with one click. Were the developers so careless that they deleted the old source code files? Because looking from the outside with a programmer's eye, there should be no problem with restoring the old dashboard with a switch in the "new version - old version" settings when updating to e.g. version 5.1. In fact, there should be no problem with separating the home page settings in the web and mobile versions to display different versions of the home page. Moreover, in 4.77, after turning on the "beta version", Garmin Connect Mobile once downloaded some packets from the network in the background to display the new home page, so I assume that the new dashboard is a replaceable overlay or plug-in that can be replaced with another one at any time.

  • And now Garmin is deleting negative comments that they don’t like.

no, the moderators delete posts that violate the forum rules.
