Garmin sync with Google Health Connect

Majority of the fitness apps i know sync data with Google Health connect it is similar to apple health when will the implementation come for garmin. As using 3rd party health sync app doesnt work all the time. I need to switch to different tracker or else stop using garmin because of this specific reason where sharing data with other apps is really hard.

Google Health connect simplified it as a bridge between all the apps. Hope garmin get this feature soon like how all the other fitness companies in market is doing it

  • Health Sync on android works well. sure it ain't native and costs 3 dollars or so, but that's the way to keep history on fit platform

  • From the looks of this thread, it doesn’t seem like Garmin’s interested but just to add my voice in the wilderness - Garmin Connect syncing with either Google Fit directly or with Health Connect on Android phones (even Samsung Health for Samsung phones would be nice although obviously something less brand-specific would be better) would really be very much appreciated. So many other apps or activities require Google Fit for their data input, and while I’ve tried Health Sync (paid for it), it’s more hit than miss lately - I’ve yet to manage to get it to work and sync reliably, no matter which settings I try.

It’s honestly bizarre to me than Garmin hasn’t done anything to enable direct sync to at least one of the two main native-ish activity tracker / aggregator apps on Android, which most other apps can work with without any issues.

  • Garmin, any update on this long running request? You sync to Apple Health on Apple's ecosystem but refuse sync to Google Health Connect to make Garmin data available on Android?

  • Garmin is not really listening are they? I cannot believe how many threads there are on this.

  • it seems Garmin is complelty uninterested or doesn't even know. I reallyt wonder why someone at Garmin enabled the sync on Apple device but failed to do son Android devices...

  • The Coros watch syncs seamlessly according to my friends on Strava. Time to switch wearables since Garmin doesn't listen.

  • Agreed.  Submit this request officially to Garmin via the Garmin Ideas page: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/

Maybe Garmin will listen if more of submit request there for connecting with Google Health Connect.
