Garmin coach run completed but not showing in Garmin coach (but it has synched to my phone. How can I tell the Connect App or Coach that the run has been completed. Its there in the app, but Coach is ignoring it

I did my long run yesterday - starting the run out of Coach. It did everything as normal but when I synched to my phone it didn't register with Coach. I can see the run but it is a normal run and Coach wants me to repeat it. It was a LONG run and I can't. I'm worried that it will stuff up my coaching plan.

  • Update - I deleted my plan, and created a new one. 

    I synced it all, and went out to do the benchmark run. 

    Logged in Connect ok. Nada for Garmin Coach. :-(

    I'm at my wit's end.

  • Shame - it must be the update. Mine went blank last Sat (10 days ago). All runs are started through Coach, synched to the app but not recognised by Coach. Hopefully the helpdesk will come up trumps. I'm still waiting for the engineers to do their magic!

  • I also sent Garmin help the link to this conversation so hopefully they will do something that helps us all!

  • Odd, but mine now is fixed. 

    I say “odd” because someone (probably inadvertently) reported one of my posts as “abusive”. I asked that Garmin admin review the post, and it was reinstated with no revisions. The odd part is that 6 hours later, the coach synchronization (between watch and the app) issue was resolved.

    Here’s to hoping it was all a hiccup and that all will be smooth sailing going forward.

  • Well I never - mine too (except for todays!). Here's hoping that today's will link and everything will work from here on in.

  • Oh dear - my runs on Tuesday and Thursday were again not recognised by Coach (but are both happy and smiling at me on the app). The old runs from last week did get recognised which is good. I am on week 6 of a 12 week program and so far 2 weeks have not been recognised (although one of those 2 has been reinstated). I'm feeling that I've been mis-sold Coach as in my experience it is definitely not doing what was promised. Also how does Coach set a plan if it decides not to take into account all your activities. I thought it was meant to design something for me based on my data - but I'm not sure this is happening.

  • I tried all the methods described before in other threads, without luck. One of them, pausing then resuming, even deleted the scheduled and completed but unregistered workout from yesterday. Now that it is gone from the schedule I am not sure how it affects the future plan.

    Really, Garmin, how is it possible to have this bug dragging on for years?

  • Have you run since using Coach? I'd be interested as I have and Coach didn't pick it up (even though it is on the app)

  • Hi all - my problem has now been resolved through the Garmin helpdesk. My helpdesk reference numbers were << Ref: 26160178K0 >> <Q#:1017150>> as whatever they did made my runs correctly show in the Garmin app and also on Garmin coach (I only lost one run in the process).
