Insights not appearing anymore

My last insight was generated at the beginning of July of this year. After that no more insights have appeared on my profile.
I have checked that I have given consent to contribute to/receive insights data, so that's not the reason.

Does anybody have the same problem/knows how to fix it?

(ps I am using a Forerunner 255)

  • Maybe you are right, but in my case I've never had any interactions with the support, I've just sent the email/filled the website form, so it seems strange that it asks me to rate an interaction that has never happened. Plus, in the case of my previous support request for another issue, they have not yet answered a simple update request after more than a month, so I don't think it's normal support behaviour.
    In the meantime I'll try contacting them through chat or phone about both issues, and maybe I'll update you in another thread about the lacking email support part.

  • I've contacted support via phone and told them about the problem. They told me they would have asked their engineers, but after this, when I've asked if it was normal that the email support took so long to answer my emails, they hung up mid conversation, and now if I try to call them they just hang up instantly...

    So I think it's better if somebody else reports this to Garmin as it seems I'm being "blocked" by them.

  • I contacted support through chat.  They said, "Have you already tried removing the device from the connect app and the phones bluetooth, uninstalling the connect app, restarting the phone then installing the app again and adding the fenix back?"  I did that.  They also suggested deleting old insights.  When I opted out of data sharing and back in, that already deleted the insights.  They said I may have new insights in a couple days.  I'll try to remember to update here if it works.

  • Today, a technician on chat had the same problem, no insights since June.  He referred me to 800-800-1020 since he was busy.  The person on phone support also had the same problem as the rest of us.  It seems like she was on hold for 20 min. trying to get to second-tier support.  She e-mailed me with a case number.  I'm replying with some screenshots and logs so they can troubleshoot it.

  • From Garmin Support: "Thank you very much! After doing a lot more investigation, I have found that we have discontinued the View All Insights section in the Garmin Connect app. Thus why we are not getting this since back in June. I am sorry if this has caused any concern on your end or inconvienance. I really appreciate everything that you have done to help."

  • Oh so Insights are officially dead from now on? What a pity, they were interesting sometimes.

  • Yes mine was in July and now nothing. I was getting them regularly and then they stopped. I have not changed any settings either
