Run not uploading to Garmin but watch syncing fine

I have zipped the .fit file. Tried uploading but wouldn't let me.

Some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files on a Forerunner 35. Basically the same as your last post a year ago - The upload appears to be malformed and we are unable to process it. - Garmin Connect Web - Mobile Apps & Web - Garmin Forums

• Avoid pressing stop or pause during an activity.
• Sync your watch, backup the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder, then do a full master reset of your Forerunner 35 using these directions - Restoring All Default Settings.
• Perform a weekly cleanup of the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities to Free Up Space. The F35 seems to have problems with longer activities, so this step is important before a longer event.
• Check for firmware updates using Garmin Express.

Ah found it to upload now, but it wasn't on the E drive with the other .fit files on the Forerunner 35 device, does that matter? Thank you very much for sorting.

You don't want the file back on your device, as also mentioned in the thread a year ago...

You don't really need it on the watch, in fact it can cause issues with corruption. Also, there is a 7-activity memory limit that can be stored on the Forerunner 35. With the oldest activity being overwritten with the most recent.

The point is to upload to Garmin Connect, not your Forerunner.

• Log in if necessary.
• Drop the file I repaired or browse and select as instructed.
• Then "Import Data"
