Is there a public roadmap for Garmin Connect Web?

Software has had few changes over the last several years so wondering if a roadmap exists for this or if it has been abandoned?  There are little, easy things that need to be done that seem to be ignored?  One minor example - the Garmin scale measures body fat percentage but there is no where to store it in Connect Web or Connect iOS.  Just seems to be a lack of an integrated roadmap here.

  • No roadmap available, but Body Fat from Garmin scales is being stored automatically in Garmin Connect. You can view it on the Weight page of GC (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/weight). And if you do not own a Garmin scale, you can import the body fat values though a CSV file.

  • you can import the body fat values though a CSV file.

How should the import file .csv or .xls be structured.
    Do you have an example?

    A file.xls like this:

    unfortunately does not work.

  • That's not the correct format. It must be in this way. It is being posted here on the forum frequently:

    Body
    Date,Weight,BMI,Fat
    "2022-11-03","75.6","25.6","17.4"

Quotes are mandatory only if you use the numeric format with decimal comma instead of dot. When importing at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data, make sure you select English, and the matching date and number format.

  • thx, this does not work, also with exact the same dates.
and yes i selected English and the correct format.
    did you try this too?

  • It does work, of course, I use it daily. Make sure you copy the text without the line numbers into a plain text editor such as Notepad (not Wordpad, or any other rich-text editor!), save it, change the extension from txt to csv and import. Don't use Excel, it often screws up the CSV format, exporting semicolons, tab or other separators instead of commas.

  • But there is no body fat field is my point. At least not in my version. Does it only appear once you import data?

Why not give us the ability to enter it manually?  Anyway, that's just one example.

The larger issue is that there doesn't seem to be any new development being done which is a bummer. At least from what I can tell.

Of course it does, otherwise I would not suggest doing it:

Probably no or low demand for such feature from users. Suggest it at Share Ideas | Garmin to increase the chance

There is a new version of both GC app Android/iOS and GC Web, minimally once a month, bringing new features and fixes (as well as new bugs) every time

  • It does work, of course

    sorry no.

    exact with your given data:
Make sure you copy the text without the line numbers ✓
into a plain text editor such as Notepad (not Wordpad, or any other rich-text editor!),  ✓
    save it,✓
change the extension from txt to csv and import.✓
Don't use Excel, it often screws up the CSV format, exporting semicolons, tab or other separators instead of commas.✓
make sure you select English, and the matching date and number format.✓

    Again:

    did you try this too?

Even after exporting already existing data, deleting it from GC and then importing the same exported .csv file with all the same data does not work.

Well, as I wrote and as you can see on my screenshot, it works fine for me as well as for countless other people, so I guess you must be doing something wrong: There are many similar threads with the same topic here on the forum, so look tem up, and perhaps you find someone with the same issue as you, or get some ideas what you might be doing wrong.

  • Therein lies the problem.  I do not have a Body Fat field in either Connect Web nor Connect iOS.
