Wrong/missing training status and training load

Hi,

I have missing and wrong training status and training load in Garmin Connect Web and Android (marked in arrows in the screenshot below). It started about two days after Garmin fixed the training status outage in their Connect platform. My watch (Forerunner 645) displayed valid training status and training load on these days, but they are missing in the app and on the web. Furthermore, the training load dips (accompanied by the blue recovery training status) are wrong. My watch showed a training status of Maintaining and a stable training load on these days. I also looked at my activities in the 7-day period and concluded there should not be any dips. I train consistently on regular days and hence my training load is always smooth and stable as can be seen prior to the first missing point.

    On your answers, sorry to say but, a couple of statements are incorrect.

    1. Only Heart rate data without Power data already suffices to calculate the Load Focus (Low Aerobic, High Aerobic and Anaerobic Training Load distribution). Those values are dimensionless values as can be seen in the graphs. So the fact that only High Aerobic is zero already for 5 months despite many rides in Z4 and Low Aerobic and Anaerobic are still calculated is a plain SW calculation error somewhere in the E1030PLus and G Express SW.

    2. Only Heart rate data without Power data also already suffices to calculate the 7-Day Training Load as displayed in the bottom graph with the Green Bar on the Training Status pages in the web app.
      As you can see in the screen shot of Ido Adam not only the Training Status in top graph is missing but also on that same day the black dot (numerical value of the 7-Day Training Load) in the bottom graph of the 7-Day training Load  is missing. This is a plain SW bug in the Express and Connect SW (all calculations are done in the back end of Express, not in Connect. Connect only fetches the values out of the databases behind Express)

    3. My Edge1030plus does not display anything at all about Training Load of the last 7 days/Load Focus.
      Only when I temporarily had an E1030 and an E1030plus and switched on PhysioTrueUp on both devices, the E1030 displayed the Load Focus of all rides I had done with the E1030Plus. When I had/have either one of those in stand alone use (as is the case now E1030Plus only), the Load Focus has never been displayed. Also a plain SW bug on the Garmin side as I do ALL rides with the same set of sensors.
      Also this bug I have repeatedly reported to local support without a proper answer from them.
  •  when I look in your account, I see that the 7-Day Training Load graph does go down 1 point when moving from Nov. 19th to the 20th.  I checked the .fit files for your last 2 runs (Nov. 13th and Nov. 20th) which also reflect the 1 point difference in Training Load.  Because the Nov. 13th activity no longer counted in the 7 day load (it was 8 days old on the 20th), your entire 7 day load consisted of only the 1 activity (on the 20th).

  • I see that you have only 2 "Running" activities in the month of November.  Please see the "What Can I Do to Consistently Update the Training Status on My Device?" section of the FAQ below.
