Missing badge due to 'other'

Hello, Garmin team.

I recorded some hicking activities with device GPSMAP64sx.

When uploaded, these activities appear as ''other'' on the dashboard.

How can I set the device or the app to have the activities directly as ''hicking''?

Because the GPSMAP 64sx does not support the Hike activity profile, you would not be eligible to earn that Hiking Challenge Badge. In the future, you would need to use a device that supports that specific…

I don't know if that device supports that activity type, but you can always change the activity type afterwards in Garmin Connect to get the badges. It seems to have a "profiles" concept but I don't know if that affects the activity type.

I changed the activity type from 'other' to 'hicking' but I didn't get the badge: it seems like that the activity is manually loaded, so it's not possible to achieve the badge.

Because the GPSMAP 64sx does not support the Hike activity profile, you would not be eligible to earn that Hiking Challenge Badge. Thank you for the answer.
I’d like only underline that Activities recorded with this device are obviously hiking (not running or swimming!).
Hopefully this will be solved in the next updates, have a nice day.
