Problem using Tack App and my Garmin Watch at the same time

Why, when I use the Tack device (via Tack App) and my Garmin Watch at the same time, The Garmin Connect add both activities as they were 2 instead of 1 ????

    solved

  • No ant+ on my side, I am trying all this on bluetooth. I am assuming that my Vivoactive 4 watch sends the hr data in bluetooth...

  • The Watch send the info via Bluetooth

The Chest Heart Rate monitor is via Ant+

The Tacx Trainer App should be able to receive both. If yo go to Setting/Device Manager and then tap the Tacx Neo 2T you will see a button to on/off the Ant+

  • thank you for your support. I will delete the app (I am using Apple IOS ) and I will re-install it again to see if I can overcome the problem.

  • Please keep us updated!

  • This seem to be the problem....

"If it broadcasts via ANT+ you will only work with a device that can receive ANT+. No Apple devices can receive ANT+ and only a few Android devices can. They are mostly Samsung devices with a few from other manufacturers"

I delete the Tacx Trainer App y re-install it again and neither, my Garmin Watch nor Chest Heart Rate were able to be connected to the Trainer App. The Tacx Trainer App simply do not see them.

I did the same with the iPad and the result was the same.

My conclusion is that the Tacx Trainer App needs an URGENT update. Meanwhile I will continue using my Tacx Neo 2T with the Tacx Trainer App, without the Heart Rate information........Frustrating

  • definitely the problem was solved buying a chest strap heart rate monitor with dual band (ANT+ and Bluetooth) and I do not need the watch to have the hear rate avoiding to duplicate the events at the Garmin Connect.

Effectively the iPhone do NOT support ANT+ technology and the older chest strap heart rate monitor transmit only with ANT+. Also all the Garmin watches (at least until today) when they broadcast the Hear Rate, they do it via ANT+ Technology.

The solution are the Dual Band chest strap heart rate monitor
