Come on Garmin! I wear a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar. I use a Neo 2T when I train indoors. I own and use 2 sets of Vectors. One upgraded from the original and one second generation. I use an Edge 820 when I'm at the velodrome. I use a Wahoo Roam on my road bike because the display can be made larger on the fly and that's something my 54 year old eyes need. Because of this, I upload my road rides manually. Ok, I get it. It's silly and petty, but I understand the business side of things. Seriously though, because I use a Wahoo and upload my .fit files from Strava, you won't use it to calculate training status? I understand that I can start an activity on the watch, but it's sort of redundant and I don't need to suck the life out of the watch battery.
Am I missing something or is this just my reality because I use a competitors product that saves files in the same exact format?
