Hi ! Unfortunately I had the same problem (deleted a file on my watch). I found one file with Recuva. But i cannot upload it manually (it says that the file is note accepted by the system).

If you delete it off the device it is gone forever. There is no data file backup on your device.  As a programmer, I'm amazed they didn't add in a backup feature for deleted files. I always do that and set it up to fall off after a certain number of days.

I'm selling all my Garmin devices and buying a Wahoo for my bike. Problem solved.
