Forerunner 935 cadence recording stopped recording. Does anyone know why or how to correct it
Please post a screenshot of exactly the page I linked in my previous post. This one is again not helpful for the analysis
Well, that's already on the right page, but still not showing the daily Steps progress graph. Please scroll down on that page, a make a screeshot of the Steps block (especially the graph).
OK, that's it. It all looks all right. The accelerometer detecting the steps worked, and the steps were counted even during the activity. The last activity misses all Cadence data, and also the Total Moving Time, already in the original FIT file. The firmware version of the device is identical to the one used at the older activity, so the problem apparently is not caused by a firmware update. Garmin Connect does not play any role in it (as I wrote, already the source data from the device are missing the cadence), so the version of GC app is not the culprit either.
In other words, I did not find anything that would reveal the cuplrit. In your place, I would connect the device with the USB cable to a computer, and would clean up the folder //GARMIN/Activity - full storage could potentially cause the data loss, so making up sufficient space may perhaps help. Once cleaned up, power down, and restart the watch, and then try starting a short dummy Run, just doing a few steps (you can stay home). Then save it, and check whether there is some cadence data.
If it does not help, then my next step would be performing the Master Reset (look it up in the User Manual for your device, or google it - it differes from model to model, and I am not familiar with yours). Just note, that with the Master Reset, you'll have to pair the device with Garmin Connect again, and redo most settings and customizations, so it's a bit of hassle.
And if nothing helps, then probably the only way to get it sorted out, is contacting the Customer Support, and letting them investigate it closer. In such case, please report then back to this tread, so that the solution is available for others too.
... in another thread, a user reported that the Avg. Moving Time is set to zero - as I wrote, I noticed it at your last Activity too. The user reported that the Moving Time is reset only when she sets the Self-Evaluation, and that the bug was confirmed by the Support.
You could try recording a Run without setting the Self-Evaluation (and to be sure, without editing any other data of the Activity), to see whether it is related to the Cadence too. If so, then please report it to the Support, and have them creating a case on it.
Thank you. I will try those things and let you know
