Trying to map a route over roads I’ve ridden loads and mapped on my garmin 830 before but keep getting this error message. Is there an issue with garmin in the U.K. today?
‘We have limited popularity data for this part of the map’

Not sure if anyone ever called when the issue first started. The US is now on holiday until Saturday. If the issue persists at that time, I'll try to engage support again.
As promised…
The same thing happened last month. I contacted Garmin Support using the chat option. It was fixed by the next day. Create Roundtrip: Oops, something went wrong. Dismiss

Yup, getting the same error.
Logged on to connect garmin on the internet on my iPad, it’s automatically set to popularity routing when creating a new course which doesn’t work (get the same error messages) but I get the option online to change it to ‘follow roads’ which works fine
I have been getting the same error repeatedly yesterday and today for routes in and around Solihull, UK. Logging out and back in appeared to help at one point, but it didn't last. Very frustrating. The error affects 'popularity' and 'follow roads' routing in areas with strong popularity data and good roads showing on the map. The 'Oops' in the message just winds me up further!
"Oops, we have limited popularity data for this area of the map. Use another drawing method to add new points."
I am trying to plot a course on roads I have biked many, many times and I keep getting ‘limited data available’ and ‘sorry there is limited popularity data’? This is crazy as these are well known roads which I have plotted numerous courses on in the past. Is this a known problem which Garmin know about and are addressing?
I'm having the same problems with routing using footpaths. It used to snap to the footpaths automatically without any issues and now I try to reroute a longer run using footpaths that I have previously routed on Garmin Connect and it's coming up with the same message even though there is a popularity line... very frustrating!
