Not sure if anyone ever called when the issue first started. The US is now on holiday until Saturday. If the issue persists at that time, I'll try to engage support again.

The same thing happened last month. I contacted Garmin Support using the chat option. It was fixed by the next day. Create Roundtrip: Oops, something went wrong. Dismiss

Yup, getting the same error.
Not surprised this has been going on for a while but I haven't noticed as I don't often create or edit a route in Garmin Connect. Ironically, over-enthusiastic 'snapping to a popular route' has been my main frustration with the Course Creator in the past. I've quite often made what I thought was a small change in one part of a route to find I had inadvertently changed much larger parts where 'follow popular routes' had worked its unwanted magic. It took me a long time to realise I had to add 'manual anchors' (don't know what Garmin calls these - I mean 'click on the course to add a blue circle') at key points to protect against this. I am surprised this does not appear to be well documented anywhere (or, more likely, I missed it). At any rate, while there is no 'snapping' at all this is a problem for another time.

Many thanks Seilogramp. I emailed Garmin Support at around the time of my original post (Chat not available 'on my product' and Phone support system put me on hold then offered a call back in about 90 mins.) I will post an update here with any response.
In the meantime, I hope you were able to enjoy a good Thanksgiving.

I have created courses from my home location as recently as last week however when I’ve tried today I get a message stating I can’t create due to popularity data even though I’ve tried using roads on the popularity map - do you have a problem at your end ?

Sale un aviso que pone “Datos disponibles limitados” “Lo sentimos, los datos de popularidad para esta área del mapa son limitados. Es posible que no puedas usar esta función en esta área.” Esto antes no ocurría y podía crear mis trayectos de entreno sin problemas. ¿A qué puede ser debido? Gracias.
