Issues with Halloween challenge

There is an issue with Challange. Halloween walking challange the progress correctly. It shows for example 0,0/0,0 km even tho I do progress (blue strip is filling)

Change the number format in https://connect.garmin.com/modern/settings to 1,234.56 instead of 1.234,56. There is a bug in recent GC preventing the correct rounding with the non-US format.

I log them by going to activities > create manual activity > selecting walking for activity type > and inputting the miles.

You can't. You have to record them while walking, manual activities…

Mine is on the correct number setting as mentioned above and still is not recording the walking mileage for some reason.

Did you explicitely join the Halloween Walking Challenge on the Challenges page? And do you log the walks with the Walk Activity type profile, or with Hike profile? Only Walk counts, no Hikes.

I did indeed join the walking challenge from the challenges page. It showed up under my challenges. The running one is working correctly, showing my progress. The walking one says I still have 0. I log them by going to activities > create manual activity > selecting walking for activity type > and inputting the miles.

You can't. You have to record them while walking, manual activities do not count.

Ahhhh....ok. That makes sense. I haven't recorded a live anything on the app before. I will do that. Thank you for your help!

You have to record it on your Garmin device. Whether you have a phone with the app with you, is unimportant.
