No data in Garmin ACTIVITY folder

I have lost an activity which Garmin is claiming has corrupted.

The run is showing on my watch but won't transfer over to the Connect App.

When I have connected to my laptop I can't seem to find the file to manually import the run from my Vivosport to Garmin Connect.

When I open the ACTIVITY folder there is no data there at all.

Should there not be all of my running activities showing in that folder?

I really want to get that run back so any help would be appreciated

  • Yes it was a manual running activity.

    Starting then stopping.

    The only difference with both runs that won't sync from Device to Connect App is that when I finished the run I wasn't at home (no WiFi connection) 

    I regularly run away from home so it's not like it's everytime.

    I have tried your suggestion of disconnecting the device etc but still nothing. I have contacted Garmin as it's clearly a fault that none of my activities appear in that folder even the ones that sync correctly.

    I will give the file recovery suggestion a go, thank you

    i am having the exact same problem and already contacted garmin support and no one was able to help me.

    What did they suggest? Or did you do the email method, so you're waiting on a response?

  • After weeks and weeks of communication with Garmin and escalating it they claim there is nothing wrong with my device and it is functioning correctly...

    It clearly isn't as I have follwed all the steps they have suggested and it still corrupted another file.

    I have said I don't expect to lose activity data randomly but they have said to "monitor it"

    Not accepting the fault of the device at all. I have lost count of how many times I have read online of similar issues so it can't be the first they have heard of it

    I would contact them again using phone or chat options. Emails can drag on forever.

    I have done all 3 options...

    Started off with phonecalls months ago when things started happening and got nowhere.

    I just get "please let us know if it happens again"
