Delete multiple activities ... not one-by-one

Hi,

I have just bought a Garmin watch

I have recorded 3 weeks of data, which I wish to keep

I have just discovered 100s of activities from 2015-2016 which I wish to delete.

Is there a way to delete multiple activities ... not one-by-one and not "all data"

Otherwise, if you are not afraid of some JavaSript coding, there are number of threads here on the forum for bulk operations on Activities, so you should be able to adjust one for the deletion, too. For example:

Hi Trux, thank you, but deleting one at a time is too time consuming,

I have 2.5 years of stuff to delete!

So, are you saying, without going into the software code there is no way to delete multiple entries?

Yes, the website's interface has no option for that.

For scripts: above threads are good, and a delete request is here: Loaded rides by mistake, which can be added to one of searching scripts.

This might be a bit old question, so I'm leaving it here for any future need. There's a very simple javascript scipt you can type into the developer console to delete multiple (all) activities.

A word of caution. There's no going back! No confirmation will be given!

Make sure you are on the All Activities page.

To Open the console > Google Chrome > Main Menu > View > Developer > JavaScript Console. Type the following code.

const items = document.querySelectorAll('.list-item');

press enter; then cope and paste this:

items.forEach(el=>{
const deleteBtn = el.querySelector('.js-activity-delete');
deleteBtn.click();
el.querySelector('.delete-yes').click();
});

This will delete all loaded activities. You might need to refresh the page and do it again, if you have a lot of old activities as the Garmin page doesn't load them all at once.

I'll repeat: There's no going back! No confirmation will be given! Good luck

its possible to set to delete all activities uploaded in the last 24 hours , or some like that?

Above it's a clicking script, so as he wrote, it deletes loaded activities. So it's up to you to display ones you want to delete, you can select some activity's type and use advanced search.

Or in standard scripts, add a filter to the link.

Thanks for the feedback. For delete only visible activities , dont solve the problem ; A nother Garmin Watch sync , so my calendar was populated with many activities ; i tried t figured out how only delete activities coming from the Forerunner or only the acitivies was uploaded in last 24h

Here's a script for deleting activities associated with a given device. You do need a PC or Mac tho.

Thanks for this. I just gave my dad my old VS5 and wondered why it was taking so long for the initial sync, I then realised I had only reset defaults and not actually removed all data from the device so it was syncing all my runs and cycling to his account :)
