Virtual Run activities and Treadmill 50/100 badges

Anyone know if those of us running on a treadmill using Garmin's "Virtual Run" option (connecting to Zwift Running) can earn Treadmill 50/100 badges?

    Yes, change the activity type to Treadmill in Garmin Connect.

    That would be tedious but no doubt would work!

    Remains the question is whether Garmin counts Virtual Runs towards treadmill badges (would be logical since virtual runs require a treadmill).

    As I wrote, no (at least not until now), but you can change the type of the Virtual Run Activity to Treadmill, once it is recorded, in Garmin Connect, though you need to record it with a Garmin device. An imported acivity may not necessarily work.

    Tedious to change 50 or 100 activity types individually. I can group-select but can't group-change activity type in Garmin Connect Web. Do you know of a quicker way?

    All my runs are recorded on a Garmin device.

    I guess I won't know my answer for sure until I reach 50 virtual runs.

    If not currently counted, perhaps this is something Garmin could take note of.

    There are badges Treadmill Mile, Treadmill 5K, Treadmill 10K, so you will know instantly.

    Also note that only activities newer than 28th April 2020 will count

    Thanks Trux for your responses!

    I already have the other treadmill badges.

    Interesting discussion about the python scripts. Not sure I am prepared to learn/risk those kind of changes but good to know what is possible.

    I'll wait until I hit 50 post-April 28 treadmill/virtual runs in the next couple weeks before pestering Garmin if needed.

    What is your recommended method to request a feature change to Garmin?.

    Either https://www.garmin.com/forms/ideas/ or Garmin Support, but do not keep your hopes too high. They are handling thousands of requests, so only those repeating frequently and matching their own priorities, have chance to get addressed.
