Gear Icon no longer showing when in activity

A couple of days ago, when I navigate into a specific activity to edit, the gear icon (Shoe) below the title of the activity where I can choose a specific shoe is no longer displaying (used to be next to event type and course choices). This is occurring in both Safari and Chrome. When I am in my dashboard where I have the activity widget, the gear icon does show there and I can choose a shoe from there. Any idea/info why the gear choice not on the activity page anymore?

I'm US as well. On Mac (both Safari and Chrome exhibit issue)

I just did a couple more tests. 1) Signed into connect from a Windows machine using Firefox. I have the same issue there. 2) I added a manual activity for biking and a manual activity for running. For both of these manual activities, the gear icon and all of the icons to the right while in the specific activity *are* showing. So, it appears to only be an issue with auto-loaded activities - manually added activities do not exhibit the issue. This seems to rule out an O/S issue, a browser-specific issue, etc., and seems to suggest something amiss in the web scripting for auto-loaded activities. Maybe that will help narrow things down some.

Suggest contacting Garmin Support, as this seems to be beyond a user fixable issue.

Maybe the permissions on an auto-loaded have become messed up to where it does not think that I am the "owner" in order to change gear, share, edit, delete, etc., on the specific activity page?? Throwing out ideas here.

If you want to try using a different account (family member, friend) that could test this on your machine. Otherwise Garmin Support.

It could be indeed a bug in the current version of GC Web. It recently changed from 4.30 to 4.31, and I already noticed couple of other issues. Open the DevTools (Ctrl+Shift+i, or F12), and click on the Console tab, then relaod the page and watch for red errors. If there are any, report it to Garmin Support.

Also have a look at the footer - does it tell "Version: 4.31.0.17, 20.10.5.0" or something else?

When I went to do this to capture errors, it loaded correctly! There were still red errors that showed up, but I have those icons now. Looking at the source, it looks like the version is now 4.31.1.1. Not sure what it was earlier today.

OK, that explains it. Newer version build with bugfixes. This afternoon it was still 4.31.0.17

Yep - Mine is loading correctly now. I assume the 4.31.1.1 update corrected things.
