Trim Failed

Hi David, I experience the same issue. Have watched several YouTube clips where people showing that it works for them, but not for me.

I see you are trying to remove some 39 hours, so perhaps the overlap of the dates in one activity causes the error. Did you try removing just a smaller section first? You can also try keeping just the beginning - I know that is not what you need - it is just to test whether it triggers the same error. The trimming is reversible, so after the test trim, you can restore the original version and trim it again differently.

If you find no way to get rid of the error, just trim the FIT file with the Section Remover at FIT File Tools.

Even 10 seconds doesn't work. Nor on pc, neither on the app.

What do I do wrong ...

Did you try trimming from either of the ends, or from one only?

Probably nothing. It looks more like a bug in GC. As I wrote, just use the Fit File Tools - they should have no problem with trimming the activity file.

As sugested earlier - trim it with the FIT File Tools instead (export the Activity as "Original", delete from GC, trim in FIT File Tools, and import the trimmed file back to GC Web at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data)

Hi Trux, thanks for answering. Yeah, I tried your suggestion too, but the “fixed” fit file actually lost the GPS and pace data. I tried to edit it manually, using the csv converter but there are many error lines, and removing them does not solve the issue.

In that case there are perhaps more problems with the activity than just the length - contact the resident FIT file expert OnlyTwo for the help.
