Active Calories Wrong After Update to 15.0

Fenix 5 user experiencing issues with active calorie totals after updating to software version 15.0. The active calories for my activities (running, cardio session, etc) is calculated correctly and shown accurately in the activity summary, but my overall active calories for the day aren’t including all the active calories from my activities. Anyone else experiencing this problem after the latest software update?

Hi there I've experienced same thi g with the calories. The active calories excluding workouts , are added like crazy. In a day without workouts and few movements I reahed 3400 calories in total. Usually…

Very happy to report that after updating to version 19.10 the active calories issue appears to have been fixed. Would have never expected it would have taken Garmin 3.5 months to implement a fix for this, but regardless thank you for getting this fixed.

Yes!!! I’m finding exactly the same thing. However, mine are drastically “out”. Yesterday I burned almost 900 cal (3 seperate workouts). But the summary of active calories in the Connect App daily summary was 300!!! Not impressed. Please fix this Garmin!!!

If you go onto Garmin connect and then click on the watch in the top right and select device settings. Once in device settings, select user settings. Under the drop down button activity class select a value of say 8. If you then sync your watch, that should fix the problem. That is how I fixed the issue with my watch. Hope that helps. Best. Phil

Hi, I have the same issue in my Vivoactive 4 with "physio true-up" feature on, even when I use a different device such as a Garmin edge 830, the reported value of active calories is always lesser in the connect app and on the watch as well

Problem seems to be with the connect platform. After the update to version 4.31.2 the issue has resurfaced or it is a completely new problem. Whichever it is I have the same problem using a forerunner 735 and an edge explore.

In that case I'm moving this thread to the Garmin Connect Web forum, as this problem does not appear to be specific to Garmin Connect Mobile iOS.
