Annoying Garmin Coach rescheduling behaviour (for missed workouts)

I ended up missing a workout with Garmin Coach yesterday.  I got up this morning intending to do the workout today instead but my calendar showed that I'd skipped the workout and I couldn't find any way to reschedule the skipped workout today (it seems you can't reschedule workouts that have already been missed).  So I went ahead and did an adhoc run instead.  A few hours later my Coach schedule has updated and it has now rescheduled my missed workout for today, but obviously too late as I've already done something else.  It would be nice if this behaviour could be changed so that the auto-reschedule happens earlier, or that when I start my run I'm prompted and asked if I want to do yesterday's skipped workout, or simply just the ability to do a manual reschedule.

Or have I missed something?

    Hi  I agree it’s a proper pain in the a**e but did you try to change your Coach days so that you replace the missed day (yesterday) with today? It’s probably not going to work if you’re on consecutive training days, but if today would otherwise be a rest day it should work. For me, it just moved the missed workout to the next day, and once I’d completed the run, I changed my schedule back.

    THANK YOU!!! I missed a drill workout on Friday for my Half Marathon Coach training program and was looking everywhere for a way to reschedule the missed day. I updated the days in my plan and the missed workout was bumped up to today. Will go back and reupdate my days after I do the workout so that I'm back on track. Thank you, thank you, thank you for mentioning this work around!

    no longer with vivoactive 4 - it only provides the *next* 3 workouts

    WHY IS GARMIN SO DUMB LIKE THAT ...4 YEARS ON AND I STILL CAN'T RESCHEDULE MY MISSED WORKOUTS ... IT'S 2023 AND IT'S SUPER FREAKIN EASY FOR US TO JUST MANAGE OURSELVES ... CAN YOU GUYS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS????

    when the workout is missed, "reschedule" no longer appears .. so I don't know what you're looking referring to exactly ...
