Garmin Coach doesn't update after benchmark run

Hi,

I did the first (benchmark run) of the half marathon program of the Garmin coach. The run had been initially scheduled for Tuesday but automatically moved to Wednesday and Thursday because I didn't do it. However after completing the workout on Thursday it again automatically moved to Friday instead of recognizing it was completed and updating the rest of the plan.

To be clear; I completed the benchmark run correctly on Thursday; it shows up in the list of activities in Garmin connect; but in the coach overview it rescheduled to Friday and the plan didn't automatically add new workouts. I'm using a forerunner 645M.

    I just tried doing the benchmark run for Coach Amy two days ago and it didn’t work. 

    I was going to try again today but I thought I’d search to see if other people were having the same issue. 

    I quit the Coach Amy plan and installed the Coach Jeff plan. But then it wouldn’t let me reschedule the benchmark run. 

    I think the coach part is broken and needs to be fixed, but seeing as though this has been going on for months I don’t see a fix coming soon. 

  • Not having this problem with coach Amy, did the benchmark run for a half marathon plan and the next run is showing up fine, with the benchmark run completed. I'm on a fenix 5 plus, don't know if that is the difference.

    Just got off a lengthy chat with support. I am having the same issue with Coach Jeff. I had an old program that I had to stop with "him" due to injury. Worked like a charm. This time, no dice. 

    Not eager to change coaches as I like Galloway's approach. 

    Support has no clue. They want me to try by going in through a widget and then contacting them.

    One thing is clear, they are not monitoring. 

    Fenix 5s: Problem is not with watch but backend to my mind.

    One runner in another forum, suggests that going in through the widget (scrolling down with the lower-left button until you find the workout, did solve the issue for her.

    I will try tomorrow.

    i tried that, still no luck. Benchmark run not recognised and rescheduled for next training day :(. I was so looking forward to start that plan and run half marathon in 13 weeks
