where do you put this direct link
Into the address line (URL) of your browser. Do not froget that you need to replace the activity ID, with the one you want to use for the segment, of course…
Connect mobile -> segments -> Ξ -> Use Garmin segments. That's it. No need to disconect Strava.
Or Web Connect:
You have to enable segments in Account Settings -> Privacy Settings -> toggle Segments switch so it's enabled
To be fair.... that is such a stupid long way around to get the segments to show up on your activities! I could find NOWHERE where this was explained. NOWHERE is it explained that you should create segments on dashboard (if it is its hidden). It doesn't say that if you click on segments once you add it that just a box with a plus sign comes up. Its only when you go to Fitness on the dashboard it comes up with all the other boxes (Gear, Courses, Activity, Reports, Workouts, Connections etc). I now have a Trailblazer badge.
Thanks very much.

When I created my segments, I checked the support pages, and found the explanation rather straightforward and helpfull. What I found, was the following page, perhaps it can help others too:
Please can you help me how to do this? where do you put this direct link - connect.garmin.com/modern/segment/createFromActivity/ACTIVITY-ID
Replace ACTIVITY-ID by your activity id.
where do you put this direct link
Into the address line (URL) of your browser. Do not froget that you need to replace the activity ID, with the one you want to use for the segment, of course. And you'll see the ID again in the address line of the browser, when you are on the detailed page of the concerned activity.
Thank you!!!
I have a Venu 2 plus and it does not have the ability to create segments because this is not one of the features of this watch. If anyone with a Venu 2 plus has managed to do it, I'd love to know. (Putting this out there so other Venu watch owners don't spend hours like I did trying to work this out lol)
