browser java script console

When I use Garmin connect to view my golf statistics (Drive,Approach,Chip,Putt) I am seeing an error code on screen "Error occurred running unity content, see your browser java script console for more info. The error was security error". I am running windows 10 and it seems my Garmin connect is using Microsoft Edge as a browser. Really struggling to progress this problem. I dont know how to access or interpret my java script console. Any ideas? Everything else working great, I have an S60 with a full set of CT10 on my clubs. Grateful for any help please
  • Can I add, this issue is not happening with the mobile app. It happens when I use a desktop PC via Garmin express
  • Try clearing your cache and disabling your adblocker (based on a search for the same error message).

If that doesn't work, open Garmin Connect in an incognito/private browsing window. (CTRL-SHIFT-P in Edge).
  • Progress! If I go incognito in Chrome the statistics appear OK. However this means I can only call up the stats in this way and not via the Garmin express shortcut icon (dropped by Garmin set up I presume?) The Gexpress shortcut seems to use Edge which I cant get to work. If I could get the Garmin Express to open Chrome, maybe that would fix it. Thanks for your help so far, wondering if there is a later version of express that I need to download.
  • The browser used to open websites such as Garmin Connect from a shortcut is a system-wide setting and has nothing to do with Garmin Express.

You don’t need to use that shortcut to open GC. You can simply open Chrome and browse to GC from there, by typing or using a bookmark.

If you want the shortcut (and all shortcuts to websites) to open Chrome, you need to set Chrome as your default browser. I recommend it over Edge anyway.

Not sure if that will help you as shortcuts won’t open in incognito mode tho.
  • Okay, I fired up Garmin Express to check -- there is indeed a big "Garmin Connect" button in the app. And it does open Garmin Connect in my default browser (which happens to be Chrome). However, I don't know of any way to make any website open in incognito mode by default.

Anyway, IMO it's too much trouble go open Garmin Express just so you can click on a button that will open Garmin Connect. May as well open GC directly from Chrome, especially if you start using it on a regular basis, chances are it will already be open.
