Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

    Issue closed. I tried the online fit file repair tool, which confirms the fit file save action ended before the entire data set from the activity could be processed -> incomplete fit file data despite having full summary information in activity history on device. Discussed with Garmin support, and they recommended using the online fit repair tool. Circle complete...

    corrupted fit file

    Hello. Can somebody help me please with this fit file. I tried to put it on Strava, but nothing happend. I tried to correct it with online tools but worthless. Thank you for helping. Cheers

    Hello milcc,

    The data indicates that you started before the 1000 had a good satellite lock. That caused the first 3 trackpoints and the time to be corrupted to 2019-04-07 and 2am.
    I made a guess and changed the time to 2016-07-09 at 7:00:11am. The track returns to where you started so I do not think you lost any data.
    Here ya go....fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

    Hello Alecamogli,

    Somehow the file headers and calories got erased. I fixed the headers and added calories based on your average power. Cal = AvgWatts x Moving Hours x 3.6 so here ya go. Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

    My Edge 1000 locked up after finishing my ride today, and I was wondering if you would be able to salvage my file so I could grab some info from it? Thanks in advance

    Dear All,

    This is my first post on this forum and first of all, would like to thank all the contributors helping users like me having issues with their fit file.

    I'm quite desperate here because I did my first IronMan in Zürich (Switzerland) on the 24th of July. My Garmin watch is the forerunner 910xt and I'm using it for almost three years. I did hundreds of session with this watch without having any issue :-)

    Unfortunately, my lovely watch decided to cause me some troubles this week as I'm not able to synchronize/visualize my multi-sport IronMan activity... During the sync with Garmin Express nothing wrong happened but unfortunately, the activity is not visible in Garmin connect portal. I've tried to do some searches on internet and was able to identify and save the 'fit' file from my computer. I also tried to use the website http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ but it didn't work...

    I've sent a message to the Garmin support + the owner of http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ and no answer for the moment :-(
    This is the reason why I try to ask if your expertise can have any idea on how to solve this. For information, I've attached the fit file to this post.

    Last point, I have the feeling that after the IronMan, the watch shut down without me having saved the activity. But, when switch on again, I was able to find it in the history of activities. Honestly, my mind was somewhere else after the race ;-) then I'm not sure of what happened exactly with the watch.

    Hope someone will have the time to help me.

    Could anyone help fix this file for me? Garmin and Strava both saying it's invalid...
