Vivoactive HR partially syncing activities on connect app

Hi all,
I've been using my vivoactive HR for more than a year and I;ve never experienced any problem
since a couple of days I'm having the following issue
I've steps and activities registered on my VAHR but somehow is partially not syncing correctly with my connect app on my phone
e.g. Today I've ran 10KM ( more than 15000 steps) , it's saved on my device, everything is syncing and displayng on the home of the my connect app
however, when I scroll down to see my last 7 days activities , I don;t see it and if I click specifically on Today, the summary is giving me only 0.1mt. Really weird thought
besides the above, I have the same for past Thursday and Friday where is showing " Zero" steps and activities whereas I've ran and walk on both days more than 15000 steps.
it seems to be random as Saturday was registered correctly . my averages steps in the last 7 days went suddenly from 19000 to 10000 a day
I've already tried to re-pair my device, uninstall the app, turned off my phone and my device...... nothing . it's really annoying
problem seems to be only related to steps average/counting under the steps section
Any idea?

  • same issue. I am able to sync using the garmin express app via my computer, but that is it. I've spoken with people at Garmin and am getting a lot of run around. would love to know what is going on.

  • Problems here with my Viv HR. It will not sync steps in the news feed. This is my second Viv HR that has this issue. C'mon Garmin!

    Same here. I have raised it with Garmin and have a case open so is getting investigated. I have provided screenshots and info of what I have tried. Syncing online does seem to update it as a one off sync if the missing information drives you crazy. Just out of curiosity, what phone are all of you with the issue using? I’m on an iPhone 7.
  • I'm using an Android Moto G Play. I had a "chat" with garmin last evening. They were passive, rude and didn't seem concerned. They blame the app and the engineers. I'm ready to move onto Fitbit.

    This issue has been investigated for a while now as I've had problems on and off for 2 months. I wouldn't expect any positive news soon.

    I contacted them through twitter and they were very nice. The ticket they have open is now with the engineers. I assume the more people that log it will bump it up the queue. I will let you know if I get a y news. I have also added the link to this thread onto the ticket to see if it will bump it up!

    I Wear My Vivoactive HR ALL day and ALL night, Only taking it off to charge while I am Showering. The last time my V-HR tracked my nightly sleep everyday of the week was Mid-February. The HR Monitor only tracks during recorded Exercises. The Last All Day Heart Rate Track was on February 26th.

    Currently Running SW 5.00 on the HR and Garmin Connect Ver. 4.16.1

    Well, after having this issue and my watch then deciding to stop counting distance and steps on activities, I updated the support ticket and was advised as my watch was now also an issue and not just the app, to do a default reset of my watch. I did this, and set it back up. I synced it with Connect and Garmin Express and then uninstalled the connect app and reinstalled it. I haven’t lost any data doing this and my added widgets were on Express ready to add back on. Once it had caught up with the actual number of steps I had done today it’s actually started syncing! And hopefully will continue to do so! Maybe just the reset would have done it but I thought I would put down everything I did just in case it may work for you. :)
