Delete or reset VO2 Max setting

Could someone suggest how I delete the VO2 Max number on my Garmin Connect so I can start again?

I've also a rogue Vector 3 power reading that was way too high which has put my FTP way higher than it should be.
I've tracked the ride and deleted from Garmin Connect and my 520 but it still hasn't changed my FTP.

Is there a way of changing these metrics?

Thanks

I don't know if there is a way to delete VO2 Max, short of factory resetting your device. However it should automatically update itself over time as long as you record workouts with heart rate data.

As for FTP, that one can be changed. If you go into the device settings in Connect for your 520 and then go to User Settings you will see under Power Zones the option to update your FTP as well as your power zones. Change it to whatever it should be, save the changes and then sync your 520 and it should be fixed.
  • No but they should enable this feature! My Vo2max was 60... but then on the last day of the month, while hungover on a longer run, including hills and plenty of off-road trail... it dropped 2 points... setting the week and month value for keeps... UGH! Happens plenty (running in 3" snow... or in super high temperatures...etc)! Totally removing any accuracy of my trendline...

I recommend you post it here: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/

If you go Garmin Connect web , profile and account on your thumbnail / Account settings/ User Settings you can manually update it Slight smile

Tried that, for my cycling value. This has had no effect on the values in the reports, web site or watch. User setting has the value I want, all other reported values are unchanged, does not ever change AND is incorrect!

  • same for me. I changed the values in Garmin Connect Web - it was not reflected in the watch or app after syncing.

  • Exactly the same for me. Old out of date cycling VO2 does not match current running VO2 (or anywhere near close). Its like salt on an open wound every time I see it.

  • It worked for me. I have no idea of the method used by Garmin to estimate my VO2 Max but I bet it was based on my max heartrate, which Garmin thought was 207. So it gave me a VO2 Max of 50 which would be nice ... but I am 67 years old and probably inaccurate. So I reset my max heartrate to 180 (estimated) and was able to change my V02 Max on Garmin Connect to 30. As I ride I know Garmin will recalculate it.

  • My vo2 max shows 32 for a long time. My fitness age is 73. I'm 46 years old, I exercise every day, I did the tests, including stress tests and ekg. Doctors says I'm fine, garmin says I'm going to die soon. So, can garmin pay for my tests? Who want fo join class A action ?

  • Who want fo join class A action ?

Wouldn't be simpler to try to understand how the device works, why it shows a low VO₂max, and a high Fitness Age, and learn how to use it correctly to have more accurate data?

  • Okay, you are out Wink

I'm glad that's you shared your opinion. Doesn't help, though. Off course, I tried everything,  except factory reset. It's seems like a bug in certain devices, it's doesn't bother me too much, just annoying
