This morning I discovered a possible workaround. Go into the specific activity view, click the button to edit the name of the activity. Add a period at the end of the name. Save it. Go back to your overall activities list and it seems to be saving the correct (and modified) name now. Not sure if this would've worked a week ago or not.

Update: If you don't want the period at the end, I found you can delete the period after saving it, save again without the period, and your title edit still shows up in activities list.

Thank you for the nice trick, it works! You do not even need to leave the activity page. Just edit the title with a period, save, edit again to remove the period and save.
