Accidentally discarded activity

Several times I have discarded an activity accidentally. I stop an activity and then somehow manage to accidentally do two taps and then my activity is discarded. Is it possible to retrive this?
As Garmin uses fat32 file system, then I used restore programs and managed to to get this file (.fit), but uploading to garmin connect does not work (file not suitable).
Is there any way to retrive discarded acitvity?

In general Garmin could automatically save every activity and could offer deleting them later, not immediately after activity.

Hi kiwimtnbkr, I think I found the file of an activity I accidently discarded. Can you help with that?

This fit file is a records file for storing personal records, not an activity.

I have managed to recover what I think was my run this morning, but I cannot import it into Garmin connect. Can someone help with trying to fix what is corrupt? Wet sleeves from a rainy run caused some havoc and discarded the run. So bummed, as I very seldom do longer runs. I was feeling strong today and kept going, and then lost the data.
