Speaking of having activities deleted unintentionally, has anyone suggested a more complicated delete process to garmin in order to remedy this with their next software update? Both times I've had this…
First, make sure your activity is not actually on the watch. Connect the watch using a usb cable to your computer and open the associated \Garmin drive from Windows file explorer or the finder app on a…
No data, no timestamps. Sorry.
Thanks for trying! I think the trick is if you have lost an activity to try and recover it before you start another on the same day.
@seilogramp Any chance you could rescue this one for me?

I tried myself with the file repair tool. At one stage I got `Subscript out of range`, then after a few retries it output it as a 28,000 run!
It was about 13km.
I need access to your file. Thanks.
Sorry, done.
I've recovered stuff before without resorting to this. Was on my morning run this morning but had to attend to a wildlife emergency on my way back. I hit pause, but by the time I was ready to resume about 40 mins later there was no trace of my paused activity on my watch.
After removing the obviously erroneous bits (strange dates, coordinates, timestamps), it ended up being less than 1K. Common issue with a deleted/recovered activity.
As it is, 29K of the 33K file was corrupted and could not be repaired.
If you have any other fit files around that same time in the \GARMIN\ACTIVTITY folder, there is a chance these are also partial files which could be pieced together to make a whole activity.
Yep, so all of these are from the morning. Started run around 7:30 GMT if that's of any use.

Hi,
I followed the steps to recover today's ride, but the file seems to be corrupt:

Can anybody help out with its repair? Thank you very much
