I really like the "training effect"! With any sort of metric like that I see it as a challenge to hit the max (ie 5.0). Maybe this option can't be provided because it would make it too easy for other companies to copy the "training effect", but it would be awesome to see a plot of the "training effect" going up in Garmin Connect. I don't pay attention to the training effect until I'm done with the workout (mostly because I want to use all the fields on the watch for other information) so I'd like to be able to go back and analyze the workout and see when I hit 5.0 and which parts of the workout had the biggest impact on hitting 5.0 (or just generally going up).
