Garmin Connect Badges Not Being Awarded

Thank you for the ongoing discussion regarding the new badges. We have been following these discussions and are investigating why some badges have not been awarded as expected.

We have created this thread to track reports of badges not displaying in accounts. Please post here if you did not receive a badge as expected, and provide:

Badge Type
Link to the activity (Privacy set to Everyone)
Any other details (such as social media platform you shared an activity to or linked your account with)
Do we have permission to view your account data while investigating this issue through our Administrative Tools (Yes/No)?

If you have previously posted about a badge not being awarded, thank you for doing so and there is no need to post again about that specific badge. We are investigating each of those reports and will reach out with any new information individually. We request that posts in this thread be saved for NEW reports of badges not being awarded to aid us in tracking these appropriately.

Have you tried exporting and importing the original fit file? This has worked for many...

Dear ASmugDill or Garmin-Joey,

could you please help me with "Make Up Your Mind" badge.. I'm not so understand how i can get it.

I switched the units on my Garmin device to yards, then record activity (Open water swimming) and made synchronization, but after synchronization in garmin connect activity was converted to meters. Also i can't create "open water" training.

fyi - I've found that changing activities to 'gravel ride' after the fact have indeed worked and rewarded badge. I have also went back to old open water swim activity - edited the time by 1sec and was awarded the badge. so don't need to re-upload... just edit activity.

GARMIN - how come there are no do a "Fast" run activity badges - would be cool for sub-30' or 20' 5k... or sub 5hr/4hr/3hr Marathon etc? what about a nice long hike (by time maybe?)?? Maybe run/bike/swim a certain amount in a week or month (similar to strava challanges)? Running "hill finder" run x-amount of elevation on activity or month?

I’ve been awarded a “Personal World Record”badge but when I tap on it I get the message “an error occurred” so I can’t see the details of this badge? Anyone else?

Yes I get the same error when I click on that badge. Other badges don't seem to have any issues. At least none of the other badges that I tested.

Works fine here, in the Safari browser running on OS X 10.11.

I did a 100k step challenge last week and someone had the zombie badge. "Catch the zombie virus by participating in a challenge with someone who has this badge". Is a step challenge not enough and should I do another challenge with this person ? link: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/auto-challenge/previous in my profile. Guy who has the badge placed 4th

It was my understanding that it had to be a personal challenge with one of your connections.
