Garmin Connect Badges Not Being Awarded

Thank you for the ongoing discussion regarding the new badges. We have been following these discussions and are investigating why some badges have not been awarded as expected.

We have created this thread to track reports of badges not displaying in accounts. Please post here if you did not receive a badge as expected, and provide:

  • Badge Type
  • Link to the activity (Privacy set to Everyone)
  • Any other details (such as social media platform you shared an activity to or linked your account with)
  • Do we have permission to view your account data while investigating this issue through our Administrative Tools (Yes/No)?

If you have previously posted about a badge not being awarded, thank you for doing so and there is no need to post again about that specific badge. We are investigating each of those reports and will reach out with any new information individually. We request that posts in this thread be saved for NEW reports of badges not being awarded to aid us in tracking these appropriately.

    Could someone tell me the trigger that issues the "Well Rested" badge, it's not just sleep 8 hrs. Does it require a certain value of Deep or Light sleep? No "awake" moments? Be between my scheduled sleep values? There must be prerequisites - what are they please.

    Boy am I glad to see this topic! It's been driving me nuts.

    I use a VivoSmart for steps and a Forerunner 405 to track cycling I get the step badges fine, and also the social, etc. But I do not get one single badge associated with cycling; i.e., the 405! The 405 does upload the activities to Connect, and they are properly labeled as cycling. Here is a link to a recent 5.3 mile ride that should have gotten me a 5 mile badge (and, obviously, a saddle up badge) You have my permission to investigate the account all you want if it might help fix the problem!

    I have a Forerunner 405CX that I use for tracking my running and a Edge 510 to tracking my cycling. I get badges for goals I achive when I synchronize my Edge via Bluetooth via my iPhone. I also get badges for different other "achivements" like add a commet to someone elses activity, retier equipment, create a goal and so on. But I get no badges from my running activities that I upload through the Garmin Express using +ANT stick from my Forerunner 405CX. I have a friend that uses a Fenix 3 while running and synchronize through her iPhone and she gets badges fot her runs.
    Is there an issue with synchronizing through Garmin Express maybe?

    I understand that this should be posted under some other topic but see this just as information.
    The Forerunner 405CX often hang/freez for longer runs (longer runs at least from my perspective), like over 20km. I can see a pattern that this happens during the longruns as I often stop somewere to taka a pause and drink some water or something like that. The recording has been stoped and then started again so to say, but it can work just fine for 10km or an hour after it has been started again before it hangs. Obviously I see this pattern during longruns as it´s during these runs I stop the time, I don't do this during shortet runs.

    Throwing my issue on the pile. Thought I got the new Speedy Century badge nailed yesterday but hasn't been awarded. Any reason why? Here's my activity link:

    As a side note, I like the idea of these badges and encourage more of them as you guys get time to create them. Its fun to have these to shoot for. Thanks for creating these. I'm sure the wrinkles will get ironed out.

    I completed a 100 mile activity: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/2693586929 but I didn't get the badge "100-Mile Ride". The activity was recorded using my Elemnt Bolt and uploaded automatically, instead of with the Garmin Edge 520 I use on another bike. Not sure if it has anything to do with that, but other similar distance badges have been rewarded using the Edge for recording. You have my permission to view and / or access my account with the use of administrative tools.

    It seems that badges are not working anymore...
    I´ve raised my VO2Max twice, since badges were introduced (last yesterday). No Award.
    Won some challanges, No Award.
    20.000 Steps a day, only got 15.000 award.
    Create training plan: I can only participate, not create plans.
    Got the 5k & 10k Award, but not the 1 Mile (like everyone else here).

    Created a new Group-Challange: Nothing
    Sent a connection request: Badge received (without the connection approved)

    One requirement is
    • Link to the activity (Privacy set to Everyone)
    Should not be a reason you don't get the badge - I didn't get my 'normal' 100-Mile badge - but still... And yes, they are fun trying to obtain :-)

    Are you talking about the ‘Let's Get Physical’ badge with the criterion ‘Create a workout on connect.garmin.com’?

    Got the 5k & 10k Award, but not the 1 Mile (like everyone else here).
    I'm not sure whether you meant everyone else got the Milestone badge but you didn't, or that nobody here seems to be getting it awarded. (I got it.)

    No, there is another one "Good planned" or something similar (different language). Create a training plan on connect.garmin.com. I already received the "phyical" badge.

    I´ve read several times, that the Milestone was not awarded. Here in this thread and also in the german forum. And me doesn´t have it either.
