Garmin Connect Badges Not Being Awarded

Thank you for the ongoing discussion regarding the new badges. We have been following these discussions and are investigating why some badges have not been awarded as expected.

We have created this thread to track reports of badges not displaying in accounts. Please post here if you did not receive a badge as expected, and provide:

  • Badge Type
  • Link to the activity (Privacy set to Everyone)
  • Any other details (such as social media platform you shared an activity to or linked your account with)
  • Do we have permission to view your account data while investigating this issue through our Administrative Tools (Yes/No)?

If you have previously posted about a badge not being awarded, thank you for doing so and there is no need to post again about that specific badge. We are investigating each of those reports and will reach out with any new information individually. We request that posts in this thread be saved for NEW reports of badges not being awarded to aid us in tracking these appropriately.

    According to my progress summary, I have done 101 walking activities since the 28th April, but Walk the Walk 4 isn't being awarded. Does it just take a while for the badges to come through, now? It used to be instant. I'm using a 735xt, so have to manually change the activity type after it has been logged, but I have done that. I'd post you a link and send you a list of the activity IDs, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to look at 101 activities. This is the most recent one, and I have changed privacy to everyone, although most of my activities are connections only. Garmin staff have permission to look at my account data.

    Garmin staff does not intervene here, and we (the users) won't look at your 101 Activities either. But the most likely reason why you did not get the badge yet is that some of the activities were not recorded by the device, and were rather entered manually, or imported from another app - those activities don't count. Another reason could be that some of the activities were not of the type Walk, but rather Hike - though if you already run a progress summary report, then this one is moot. Simply make another walk or two, and the badge will eventually drop to your account.

    Thanks. All walks were recorded using the 735xt, all are listed as walk rather than Hike. I guess I just have to wait for the badge calculators to catch up.

    Hello each week and weekend I win/won challenge however since 1st of November I'mm not collecting the challenge badge? What's going on?

    The description of the Challenge Champ badge says that it has a limit of 100 times it can be won:

    Challenge Champ REPEATABLE

    2 pts Win a challenge against your connections. Limit 100.

    Is it possible that you have won more than 100 challenges?  If so, congratulations, that's an impressive amount of winning!  If not, then this probably isn't your issue.

    The one activity you've linked is set as 'Casual Walking'. Maybe try changing this and any others to just 'Walking'.

    Hi!

    I just completed a 7 km walk in order to win the 13km good luck badge (I already had 6km) - it's supposed to end today 20.11.

    I had also accepted the challenge for 3mi weekend (20-22.11). Instead of winning the 1st badge cause it's the last day, I have been awarded only the second. How can I win the first? I have 2 more days for the second... Isn't it a little bit unfair to add the km to a specific challenge without been asked or at least do it with chronological order?!

    Edit the activity and change its date to yesterday
