I agree with GuyP. Garmin really basically ignores swimmers in the number of badges available. And flying a drone is worth badge but swimming 10km in a single swim is not? The badge system looks like it…
i agree with all of you. It's very frustrating seeing badge for new watches only or specific event... what for swimmer', skater's, skier's ?? what if we can have a badge for doing more than 3-4-5 different…
What did I wrong?
Go to the concerned Floor Climb activity on Garmin Connect Web (not the phone app!), and check the value Elevation Gain (not shown on the phone app). It must be higher than 334 ft for the Narrows Badge. For some reason, the Elevation Gain often considerably differs from the Ascent value (probably due to problems with the barometric altimeter), but for the Floor Climb badges it is indeed the Elevation Gain and not the Ascent, that is used (unlike what is stated in the badge description).
Have a look at the thread Narrows Badge, I wrote some more details and hints there too. And also check out the thread What's the secret to tracking stairs accurately? for even more hints
Activated elevation correction. Elevation gain stays at the same value, it didn‘t change, thus badge is still not awarded. Is it possible after the recording to change the value at all? Obviously I did not understand correct.
Is it possible after the recording to change the value at all?
If you did the Floor Climb activity with GPS enabled (and functional), and did it outdoors, having so the map with the track on the activity screen, then yes. Share the activity and post the link here, if you are not sure.
Outdoors:NO (walked steps indoor up/down.).
GPS does not work indoors, hence it makes no sense activating it for indoors activities. If there is no GPS track, there cannot be any elevation correction either, of course.
