It's taken me an hour of research to figure out how to extract waypoints from my Vivoactive. Why does Garmin make this so hard??? There are soooo many apps required with Garmin. Intuitively I went to Connect…
In the world of cloud-based services and connected devices it is really stupid if you have to connect a device via a cable to a computer to edit saved locations...
I agree. This is one feature I just expected as a given. I occasionally mark locations as reference for later and being able to show them on a map later on my computer or phone would be sensible. In it's current state it makes sense to track a location as a very short activity, but really the locations should just sync like most other things.
If a saved location is represented as a waypoint, maybe there is scope in the API for a developer?

Use the Garmin Explore App, no cable needed

Intuitively I went to Connect and looked at my calendar for the day. Nope no luck. Why wouldn't you just show the navigation points there and allow me to download from here? Why do I need to install basecamp and have to figure out yet another app. Garmin need to take more of a user-centric view instead of a data-centric view.
