We currently do not have plans to add a custom "sleep goal" in Garmin Connect. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
+1 to this problem
yep.
"however ridiculous it may be".
In Garmin Connect Web you see: "Goal from 8h" of sleep. It´s not my goal at all. Just delete that message or make it changeable.
Same would be if you see "Goal in direction to a marathon" at every run-event. Might be interesting for some, but not for all users.
Configurabe Sleep Goal is now available through GCOverrides. When the customized Sleep Goal is met, you get your long awaited green checksign:
Interesting thread... It seems a lot of people are slaves to ticking off off targets in life. Me? As others have noted, I'm much more interested in the quality of sleep I'm getting. I don't let it affect my life that it's a green tick I rarely achieve. Some of you even go so far as to lose your rag with the whole app, which I think is really good. I'm assuming while you can't get the sleep tick, you're going high on the stress score?
Well purchasing a watch that measures your activity and ability to reach set goals might indicate that many users are interested in reaching those goals. So it is kind of irritating that all other goals are customizable but one isn't.
And I can change my actions so that I'll reach the other goals (walk more, exercise more, drink more) but if I am not sick, I just can't sleep for 8 hours. I wake up without alarm quite exactly after 7.5 hours of sleep, so it would make sense to set that as my sleep goal instead of the fixed 8 hours.
So... it’s been over 2 years since your comment and still no such feature change. Just FYI. :)
