activities uploading with incorrect time

I don't know about the Fenxi 3, but I have seen this problem with the VAHR.

If you have the Time set to Manual and entered a time you can't set, or know, what the time zone is on the device.

Set the Time Source to Automatic and then get go to an activity that use the GPS and wait for it to sync to sync with a phone. That will set the correct time and time zone.

The time is already set to automatic on the Fenix 3. It shows the correct time so I guess it does know what time zone I'm in.

I can't open the activity, but I've seen the same thing. I've had activities upload to the wrong time zone. My time zone is Central Australian and I have had activities upload to Japan Standard Time. Start time was still correct (when adjusted for time zone), but not what it was recorded. I believe it was something to do with Garmin Connect being confused with where I was (35 degrees north, not 35 degrees south where I actually am).

My activities get passed through to a number of other sites and the times were correct on those sites, just not on Garmin Connect.

did that already, it makes no difference whatsoever. It also changes itself back randomly without my intervention.
I would not expect this to make a difference anyway because it says that it only applies to non-GPS activities. Click on the question mark and you'll see.

'This setting will only apply for new non-GPS uploads and does not change the time of activities already stored at Garmin Connect.'

OK so I had a few mins to explore this further and have discovered that the setting in Garmin connect for timezone is overridden by whatever is set on my phone.

I use an iPhone 6, date and time setting is set to auto which picks up the time zone is London. This is correct. When I sync from the mobile app, it changes whatever I set the time zone upload thing to back to GMT (London). I changed the setting on the phone to manual and for the hell of it pretended I was in Mexico. Sure enough, when I sync from the mobile app, it changes the setting to Mexico.

So I conclude from this that the timezone setting is correct, however, Garmin Connect is not taking into account Daylight Savings Time. Although I'm in UK (London timezone), we are on British Summertime which is GMT +1.

Any ideas on what I can do to sort this out, it's very irritating seeing ll my activities recorded at the wrong time when the device is recording them correctly.

there's two: GMT and Western European time. It doesn't work in either setting. Both have the same daylight saving time timetable in any case (i.e they are exactly the same).
